The Urban Engine Playbook

Whether you’re pushing down a tough hallway, making a hit on a car fire, or operating at a natural gas leak, the role of an effective engine company can be a game changer. From apparatus positioning to estimating and making a stretch, this class gives you street smart solutions to overcome many challenges faced. Working aggressively and thinking outside the box may be the difference between making or breaking the outcome of an incident. The Urban Engine Playbook provides experience-based tactics that foster coordinated, positive outcomes on the fire ground. Take some of this knowledge and have your engine company set the pace at its next working fire.

 Fire Ground Considerations

The fire ground is an ever-changing and often chaotic place, where firefighters are forced to make a multitude of split-second decisions to affect a positive outcome. This class provides experience-based tactics that take a simplistic and aggressive approach to thinking outside the box. From building construction and size-up, to specific fire situations, this class covers an array of information that is paramount for your success. It will help instill confidence in your fire ground decision making, as well as give you knowledge to operate more effectively. Whether you’re entry level or a seasoned veteran, take some of this information that some fail to consider and make yourself a game changer.

For The Men, For The Mission

The Company Officer is the most critical role in the fire service. In today’s fire service many Company Officers lose site of what makes their position so important. This program not only looks at the traits of lack luster leaders, but also focuses on the positive core values you should strive for as a Company Officer. From the transition to the position, to how to lead on the fire floor and beyond realizing that the men and the mission are your top priorities will set you apart from the other Company Officers. Learn from my mistakes to help you be the leader and the boss that sets not only you, but your company up for success.
