PUMP OPERATIONS REFRESHER
This 12-hour course is designed to provide the student with an opportunity to refresh on the requisite knowledge and practical skills necessary to properly operate a pumping apparatus at an emergency incident. A lecture and practical hands-on evolutions will be conducted as part of the refresher process.
The curriculum is based on the IFSTA Pumping Apparatus Driver/Operator program and meets the objectives of NFPA 1002 “Fire Apparatus Driver/Operator Professional Qualifications”.

- Fireground Hydraulic Calculations
- Operating Fire Pumps
- Dual Pumping/Tandem Pumping
- Relay Pumping Operations
- Foam Equipment and Systems
- Troubleshooting
