FIRE GROUND CLASSES
- FIREFIGHTER ESCAPE SYSTEMS TRAINING – Choose from a variety of course options including the Basic End User and Train-the-Trainer. We also offer an annual Refresher class and a Train-the-Trainer refresher. All Hands Fire provides training on all of the leading escape systems including the Petzl EXO, Sterling F4, RIT PRESS, DEUS, RPI and CMC.
- FIREFIGHTER RESCUE / RAPID INTERVENTION – This multiple day program includes a classroom “Awareness” session, but is mostly an instensive hands-on training class. Students will learn the skills and techniques necessary to perform the rescue of a downed firefighter and will also provide them with better situational awareness.
- MAYDAY: SAFETY, SURVIVAL AND THE STRIVE TO SURVIVE – Offers the student the skills necessary to transmit a “Mayday” message, orient themselves in a bad situation and focus on their own survival. At the conclusion of this class, the student will have an opportunity to not only have a better understanding of their own limits, but also how they can improve those limits.
- CLASS 2 HARNESS TRAINING – Focus is placed on the Class 2 personal safety harness that many firefighter wear on their turnout gear. Students will be taught numerous uses of this harness including means of securing one’s self, use as the rescuer of a downed firefighter and use by the rescuer with a victim who is wearing the harness, as well as rope maneuvers using the harness.
- FORCIBLE ENTRY – Forcible Entry is an essential skill in the fire service. Firefighters should be able to size-up and effectively force the door to gain access.
- ROPE ASSISTED SEARCH – This class will educate students on the proper use, deployment and techniques for use of rope search systems in large area search operations. The class covers the following topics:
- ELECTRICAL SAFETY FOR FIREFIGHTERS – Part 1 will introduce the student to the basics of electricity (Voltage, Current, Resistance, Generation, Transmission & Distribution). Part 2 will present utility conductor configurations on poles and teach the student to be able to identify the downed wire by its position on the pole and accurately report the correct wire and pole designation to the proper utility.
- ENGINE COMPANY OPERATIONS – This program is a two-part program that covers the many duties of the Engine Company.
- LADDER COMPANY OPERATIONS – This program covers the many duties of truck company operations.
- THERMAL IMAGING CAMERAS – Our Thermal Imaging Camera training program is designed to provide the basic knowledge and confidence required to use this high-tech tool effectively and safely in the field.
- RULES OF AIR MANAGEMENT (R.O.A.M.) – ROAM was established based on the premise that “Air Equals Time”.
- ITS ALL ABOUT THE TRUCK – TACTICAL TRUCK OPS – “It’s All About the Truck – Tactical Truck” is designed for any truck officer, truck chauffer, firefighter.
