COURSE OVERVIEW

This 2-3 hour course is based on national initiatives led by the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA), the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Highway Administration, and the International Fire Service Training Association (IFSTA). It presents procedures aligned with the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) and the National Fire Service Incident Management System (IMS) Consortium’s Model Procedures Guide for Highway Safety.

Students will learn how to establish safer work zones, improve visibility, and operate more effectively within high-risk traffic environments.
