COURSE OVERVIEW
This HAZWOPER program prepares industrial responders to operate confidently at the Operations and Technician levels while meeting the requirements of OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120. Through scenario-based instruction, students develop the ability to assess hazards, interpret monitoring data, select appropriate PPE, implement decontamination procedures, and apply risk-based decision-making during hazardous materials incidents. Training is tailored to the facility, equipment, and response capabilities of each organization, emphasizing practical application over compliance alone. Participants leave with a stronger understanding of hazard recognition, incident management, defensive and technician-level response actions, and the critical thinking skills needed to identify changing conditions and make sound operational decisions.
This course satisfies the following requirements: OSHA 1910.120(e); OSHA 1910.120(q); NFPA 30, 45, 55, 400, 470, 472, 473, 704, 1072, 1991, 1994; ISO 17840-1:2022
