COURSE OVERVIEW

EMS plays a significant role on the fireground. BLS and ALS can work cohesively on the fire scene utilizing their resources and experience. Since the fireground is an evolving, dangerous environment, the EMS on scene must be dialed in and attentive to the needs of the crews and the Incident Commander. Resources must be readily available based on the type of building, nature of the call, weather forecast and the potential for a mayday event.

This course will review ways to maximize your experience on the fireground in various capacities such as BLS, rehab and the need to position in safe locations in the event of a catastrophic event.
