COURSE OVERVIEW

Theater and Stagehands Rope Rescue is a 16-hour, two-day training program designed specifically for stage workers and industrial personnel who may need to assist during an emergency prior to the arrival of first responders. The course combines classroom instruction on OSHA, ANSI, and related standards with hands-on training focused on equipment use, anchoring, ascending, descending, and hauling systems. Students will learn how to safely assist injured workers on rope or in harnesses, including both conscious and unconscious victims, through practical skill stations and scenario-based rescue evolutions. The program emphasizes safe decision-making, proper technique, and real-world application, and can be customized to meet the specific needs of your facility or team.

All Hands Fire Training has been trusted by some of the most recognized venues and stagehand professionals in the country to deliver specialized rope rescue training. Developed in 2014 at the request of New York City stagehands, this program was first delivered to members of Theatrical Stage Employees, Local 1 – I.A.T.S.E., and has since supported crews working in complex, high-risk environments where immediate action can make a critical difference.

SKILL MODULES

All individual skill modules can be delivered as stand-alone training sessions, giving stage crews and venues the flexibility to tailor training to their specific environments, rigging systems, and scheduling demands.
