COURSE OVERVIEW

All Hands Fire delivers NFPA 1006-aligned Rope Rescue training at both Operations and Technician levels, combining hands-on instruction with real-world rescue scenarios.  Programs are tailored to your department’s experience, equipment, and operational needs, covering rope systems, rigging, patient packaging, and high-angle rescue techniques.  As a Petzl Technical Partner, training incorporates industry-standard equipment and proven methods to build safe, effective rescue capabilities.

PROGRAM OPTIONS


ROPE RESCUE OPERATIONS

40 Hours

This entry-level certification course introduces students to rope fundamentals, including rope construction, knot tying, and equipment use. Participants receive hands-on training in building basic rope systems, patient packaging, and performing raising and lowering operations in both low- and high-angle environments. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, safety, and foundational rescue skills.

ROPE RESCUE TECHNICIAN

40 Hours

Build on Operations-level skills and focus on complex rope system construction and rescue scenarios. Students learn to operate in high-angle environments with an attendant attached to the rescue load, perform pick-offs, and rescue victims from rope systems or elevated structures. The course also introduces ascending and descending techniques used in rope access disciplines such as SPRAT and IRATA.


BASIC ROPES & KNOTS

4-8 Hours

An introductory program focused on essential rope terminology, knot tying, and basic rope handling. Students participate in hands-on practice to build familiarity with commonly used knots and their applications in fireground and rescue operations.

ARIZONA VORTEX WORKSHOP

4-8 Hours

A practical, skills-based workshop focused on the setup and operation of the Arizona Vortex as an artificial high directional. Students learn system configurations for raising, lowering, and edge transitions, with an emphasis on below-grade and confined space rescue applications.

SPRAT TRAINING

40 hours

A comprehensive rope access training program aligned with SPRAT standards. Students develop skills and rescue techniques in a vertical environment. Training prepares participants for SPRAT certification and real-world rope access operations.

SKILL MODULES

All individual skill modules can be delivered as stand-alone training sessions, giving departments the flexibility to tailor training to their specific operational needs, staffing levels, and scheduling constraints. Whether used to reinforce core competencies, address identified gaps, or provide focused skill development, each module can be scheduled independently and delivered on-site to align with your department’s availability and training objectives.
