Law enforcement personnel are often first on scene and may encounter hazardous materials before specialized resources arrive. Early decisions can affect responder safety, evidence preservation, and overall incident management. This course prepares officers to recognize hazardous conditions, evaluate risk, establish scene control, and determine when additional resources are needed. Participants learn to identify indicators of hazardous materials and WMD-related incidents while operating within law enforcement roles and responsibilities.
