COURSE OVERVIEW
Develop decision-driven skills for real-world radiation incidents. Students interpret PRDs, RIIDs, and survey meters across transportation, industrial, scrap, and unknown-source scenarios. Through hands-on and tabletop exercises, they learn dose evaluation, ALARA application, zoning, contamination control, and tool selection. The course emphasizes risk-based decisions, correcting common field errors, and making operational calls when readings are confusing or incomplete.
